My name is Will Pember and I’ve run a local carpentry-based maintenance business for just over 14 years.

I’m licensed in carpentry, minor building and maintenance and KBL (Kitchen Bathroom Laundry) wet area work.

I’ve helped people with a broad range of repairs and modifications in their home and business. Anything from building decks and walls, widening doorways, pressure cleaning and tiling splashback...just ask.

I specialise in custom fit, handrails & ramps for aged care, disability & injured clients to aide them in their home.

My handrails are Australian made, 32mm Diamond Embossed & 38mm Heavy Duty Stainless Steel, custom made on site to suit individual needs.

My custom fit, rubber ramps come in black or a choice of six colours to match existing décor.

I can also construct large Timber and Aluminium Ramps, all made to measure and match the existing appearance of the property.

I'm based in Lake Macquarie and service Newcastle, The Hunter and further afield by arrangement. Locals have trusted me for over 15 years to repair, maintain and modify their homes to suit their changing needs.

Since Day One, our aim for all of our projects and services has been to go beyond just carpentry. Our founder, Will, knew that with his skills and his compassion for those in the occupational therapy and aged care, that Will Pember Home Modifications could provide not only carpentry, but also peace of mind for our clients long into the future. It may sound like a lofty goal, but we believe that where there’s a Will, there’s a way!

As carpenters, we believe we have a unique opportunity, and an obligation, to provide individuals and families in the aged care and occupational therapy sector with outstanding assistance in their home. This is not an opportunity we take lightly: we firmly believe that our home modifications can improve the quality of life for our clients. It’s why we strive to provide only the very best work that we can, because we know it has very real-world consequences that we can be proud of.

Our founder, Will, was diagnosed with dyslexia and knows first-hand how frustrating it can be to feel different; to endure hardships within your home and from everyday tasks.

Thankfully, he also knows how assistive technology and modifications can be. His own career and craftsmanship has endowed him with a deep and lifelong love for helping people who have undergone similar situations as himself. It was for this reason that he started Will Pember Home Modifications in the first place, as he believed his diagnosis allowed him to understand and connect with our clients on a deeper level of trust than anybody else could offer them.

In addition, he knew that any improvement to one’s home is a direct improvement to one’s quality of life. Our entire team takes solace in the fact that our handiwork can help members of our community live in their homes longer, no matter their age.

Thankfully, our clients tend to agree with us. The vast majority of our new clients come our way by word-of-mouth-referral. Every new client is a pleasure for our team to help improve their quality of life. It’s safe to say Will hasn’t looked back since.
